Whirlwind

Yes, this will be a post mostly about my girls.  After 3.5 years, yeah, I'm playing that card.  *gs*

Darlin' Danielle, carrying a boy and a girl up in there.
They are due August/September
We are SO excited!

They're in the process of buying a new home,
one that is only 1 hour away.

We went to the Library,
Delightful has her own Library Card!

She climbed into the front seat while
her mommy was in the store.

After reading a "Fancy Nancy" book from the Library the night before,
The girls gave each other a "Salon Day."

She saved the day for our tomato plant.
She found some worm poop on the underside of a leaf.
We found 3 baby horn worms.
We fed them to the birds.

Every other night she sleeps with me.
Mario is a snuggler.
Maria is a protector.  She lays at the foot of the bed.

Today we had a whole buncha errands to run, all three of us were pooped beyond belief when we got home.  We grew this zucchini, and ate it for lunch, along with some scrambled eggs.  Delicious!

Long Time No See

Yep, I took a bit of a hiatus.  About 3 weeks before my girls came home, I had some kind of shift.  No longer did I want to be on the computer all day.  I took extensive long breaks, sitting outside in the backyard, enjoying the breeze, thinking thoughts...I tried to continue creating, but my whole thought pattern was focused on my girls.

3.5 years is a long time, no matter how old a person is.  So thankful for technology that allowed me to visit with them face to face just about every week.

They already have a home under contract in the town they are going to live in.  1 hour from me.  Not a 12 hour drive to visit, not a 7 hour difference in time plus an ocean, nope, 1 hour from my  house to theirs.  I have already ordered a new quilt set and sheets for my bedroom in their new home.

She has a car dealer looking for the car they want, in the price range they want, for the payments they want to make.  And I have no doubt that he/Ted will find her just exactly what she wants.

I'll try to describe my daughter's personality to you.  She loves with her whole heart, pacemaker and all.  She is organized, educated, and punctual.  She's a goody goody with a little bit of stinker mixed in.  She's an artist.  She is confident, and rightfully so.  When she sings the birds stop so they can listen to her.  She is fun, funny, witty, and sharp.  She can tell a person off in her sing song voice so that they don't even know they've been chastised, but they will do whatever it takes to win her approval again.

She is powerful.  A tiny little redhead carrying twins.  Only a crazy person would dare to rile her feathers.  Even if she isn't carrying twins, you don't want to be on her bad side.

And my granddaughter, Delightful Delilah...what a beautiful soul.  I don't think I can describe the love I have for this girl.  She is thoughtful, polite, friendly, smart, and she loves me as much as I love her.  We love each other.  My girls and I are so tight, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I was so close to my mother's mom, Grandma Baker.  Darlin' D was so close with my mom, lovingly referred to as Grandma Grunt, so it's just logical that Delightful Delilah and I are so close.

From the moment we met up at the airport, it was like there had been no time between us.  They brought their dog, Rilo, and their cat, Margot, on the flight with them...Rilo was immediately welcomed to my little pack of canines.

Sweetheart and I took care of Rilo during the day when she was just a pup, while Danielle was teaching, before they got married.  From the moment she came home, though, Rilo was with her.  The girls and the pets spent a year with us while my son-in-law was in Korea.  That was awesome.  So, Rilo and Margot are at their second home, comfy and cozy.

Ok, I'm yakking your eyes off, I know, just wanted to check in, let you know what was going on.  I should be able to continue posting on a more regular basis now.
