So much stuff has been going on, it's been stupid crazy along with being cooped up and the weather being iffy.

Young Son brought a 3 week old kitten home.  Got a bottle for it, gave it the name Doorknob, then (as I knew it would) it became my responsibility to take care of it, and it wouldn't eat...1 weekend of that, and the squawling...I contacted the shelter, they had 2 mama cats with kittens, but that didn't work.  They had no trouble feeding him, so there he is, at the shelter.  He will come back with us if it comes to him being euthanized, other than that, he's adoptable.  I don't want a cat, Sweetheart certainly doesn't want a cat.  He made me promise to never bring a cat home again after PorkChop passed away.  Not because he misses our cat, because he hates the litter box.

Darling Daughter had the "important" ultrasound, she and babies are 100% ok, and we're all breathing a sigh of relief, and finally allowing ourselves to feel the excitement and joy and anticipation that we were holding back until we knew for sure.

We've been house hunting on-line, looking for the perfect home for them, one with plenty of room for Grandma (me), too.  And my dogs, of course.  Sweetheart and Young Son will have to take care of themselves (as if they didn't already).  Once those babies get here, I'll be there.

This coming Saturday is our City Wide Garage Sale.  My sister is going to bring some stuff over, as well as hang out with me that day...which will be fun for sure.  We live in a pretty popular neighborhood, as far as Garage Sales go.  I love a People Parade, no matter where I am, so I'm looking forward to it.

I have done some stitching and stuffing, I made a Great Dane for a nurse named Natalie that I met when I was there.  I made a small terrier, and am currently stitching up a crazy chicken for one of my old friends.  She really helped me out this Christmas, so I'm fixing this one up pretty special.

I'm going to go do some stitching, I'm sure I'll think of something else to share before the day is over.

It has rained here all weekend, and I've been teasing Sweetheart (all weekend) about how fast the grass is gonna grow once that sun pops out.  Well, it stopped raining here, the sun came out for about 2 hours, guess who is mowing?  *gs*

That's probably enough for today.  Having shrimp for dinner.  May be having it in just a moment...

Right now I am highly irritated at just about anything, I am feeling unheard, which drives me insane...I am keeping it contained, as it's actually no one's "fault."  It just is what it is.

Everything is topsy-turvy, and I have a feeling that I'm pretty sure that we are all going through an insane time in our slice of Heaven.

Schedules are different, I'm in Limbo, between healing and waiting for my girls.  I want to be so healthy when they get here!

Anyway, I just wanted to check in, so to speak, at least to say I'm still rockin' this life on this planet, but we're still adjusting to new normals.

It doesn't help that things are going to squirrelly all over the world, seriously.

I do wake up feeling happy to still be here, you know, I don't know what happens next...for real, you know.  I have all the faith in the world, I'm just going to be sorry if I forget this life when I'm no longer in it.

We've had beautiful weather the past few days, but we have a rainy spell due here next week, and it's supposed to last all week.  I plan to start some seedlings next week, so catching some rainwater has to be a plus for the seedlings.

I gotta finish a Special Secret Surprise Magical Rainbow Unicorn.

Too Windy

Today I took myself to a craft show here in town.  I saw some neat stuff, got some new Scentsy flavors.

Then I went up to the Pro Shop.  Sold a few 6-packs, tidied up the Men's room a bit.  Sweetheart and his group finished early, but a couple of my favorites were still out there, and I knew they'd be in to have a couple more, so I hung around.  It was worth it.  I've known "Wolfie" for 20 years now, he's the same age my dad would be, he's tall and lanky like my dad, and just a great guy to be with.  The other guy, he's cantankerous with a heart of gold. Most of the boys in our "group" are all good friends, and I'm thankful for all of them.

I have been working on some stretches...after being so inactive, this is what I really need to be doing every day!  My girls will join me, once they get home.

Sweetheart and I got my pills all ready for the coming week...I am on way more prescriptions than I like, working hard to get  healthy enough to not need them at all.

See you tomorrow.  Play Nice!  xxoo

The Roofing Experience

First of all, I want to publicly acknowledge the change in the weather, I woke up to a blue sky, sunny day.

And the sound of many people on my roof, scraping scraping scraping.  Sweetheart got up a few minutes before they showed up, I was awake, but still laying quietly.  Maria and Mario erupted in large barking at the ceiling, whirling around, made their way to the kitchen back to my room, more get the idea, I'm sure.

Had a quick shower and ran them up to Camp Pet Vet, home, now, sipping a 2nd cup of lukewarm coffee, while I hope and pray that they don't fall through the ceiling at any moment.  Trying to remain as calm as possible, but then decided to open my new ear buds.

Of course the pkg was shoplifter proofed, so that took a good 5 minutes, then, of course, they wires are completely I set them down for a moment to work on my breathing.  This is going to be a day to get over, I sure hope they finish it all today.

A little later now.  Sweetheart has escaped to the golf course.  The roofers seem to  have made their way to the opposite end of the house, much better.  I miss my canines, but I am thankful they are not underfoot right now!

I picked them up a little after 6, they were happy to see me, and happy to be home.  They slept like babies all night long, too.  Little furry, worn out from playing, babies.

Friday:  I fully expected them to show up again this morning, but I guess we're only waiting for the "gutter guys."  I did some time on the elliptical, raked some pine cones out from under one of the Blue Spruce trees out back.  They make good fire-starters, once they're dried out.

Sweetheart has been a busy boy since he's been home from the golf course...swept the driveway, mowed the yard, and now he's washing his car.

Finished the first Boston...Second one is ready to stuff.

Two blue sky days in a row, hoping for #3 tomorrow.  I'll probably head up to the Pro-Shop, after I check out a craft show here in town.

Procastration! Procrastination!

That is a word that if I run it through my mind too quickly, I will forget how to spell it.

Gotta find a glass of something, tea maybe, no bottled water left in the house.  7-Up will do.

So, I've done nothing but flitter-farted the last couple days away.  Gray days on end tend to do me that way, and I know I'm not alone.  Today, I have actually gotten out the pattern for those Boston's, lighting is right for cutting out on black, so here I go.

Ok, stitching, still not quite sure about finished product...I'll know more when it's more finished.  *gs*

The sun has been peeking in and out this afternoon, another rain shower went through, now I am enjoying a bright sunset over my right shoulder.  Nice to see, makes me happy.

Good Lord, I even "put off" posting this until today.  I'm hopeless right now!

Good Monday Morning!

Got to chat with my girls first thing this morning.  Both are looking well and tell me they are feeling very well.  Delightful Delilah had been creating a piece of art on the driveway with chalk, while Darling Danielle puttered around the kitchen, smiling and catching me up on their weekend.  Nice way to wake up on a(nother) rainy Monday morning.

We have had rainy weather for a full week now, just small hints of sunshine here and there.  Yesterday was mild, a bit sunny, had the windows open for a while, but we all knew it was temporary.  Today was forecasted to be as it is.

Maria and Mario spent most of the day outside yesterday, but seem to be suffering more from being cooped up this morning, they're romping around my room like it's their personal playground, and I can't let them "take it outside" because it's raining!  I'll have to settle them down before too much longer.

Reluctant Truce.  Successful, though.

Mario also managed to smack Sweetheart in the eye with his paw to wake him up this morning.  Sweetheart is suffering from what I call Popeye Syndrome.  His eye is really watery and sore.  Mario's got me on my cheek before, luckily, his toenails were clipped last week, Janet said they were like talons, his nails were.  I haven't shared that tidbit with Sweetheart yet.

We just got the call from the roofers.  To rainy (of course) so rescheduled for Thursday.  It was the logical outcome, based on the weather reports.  So far, in this week long wave of moisture, the "guessers" have been spot on.

Rescheduled the pooches play-date for Thursday.

I'll be starting on the Boston Terriers today.

Sweetheart's out running some errands.

I better get off my "buttarsky" and commence to "jigglin' my jiblets" or I'll find myself setting here all day!

Saturday Shennanigans

Sweetheart went to the golf course, but decided that it just wasn't a good golf day.  43 degrees and a brisk NE wind.  He came on home, and it was almost a "stay at home" day until I asked him if he'd take me to Hobby Lobby.  The closest one is about 12 miles north of here.

We were both happy to get outta the house for a bit.  We checked out a new Walmart, where he got a new pair of jeans and I got another pair of jammie pants.

We then went to a big Thrift Store, where I found a pair of jeans for $5.99 (score!).

Next, Hobby Lobby, I got some felt I was needing for the Boston Terrier project I was working on before my  heart decided to rebel on me.  I had started to make them out of inferior felt, but just didn't feel right doing that...

Headed home, stopped at our Walmart and picked up an order of Hanes V-Neck t-shirts I had ordered to go with my new jammie pants. Stopped at another store to pick up some Ozarka Sparkling Water, and luckily avoided running over a dog that ran in front of our car in our own neighborhood.  Neither of us had ever seen this pooch before, and we were very thankful we didn't hurt it.  It must have escaped it's yard or home.

Homey home now, for a little.  Leaving here in about an hour to pick up my sister and her obnoxious (I really like him) boyfriend to go out to dinner.  A sweet little diner about 15 miles south of here, tonight the special is Shrimp Scampi and I am jazzed about that!

So, all in all, it's been a pretty good week here.  A little drizzly, I'd prefer a bit more sunshine, but that's going to change during this coming week.

The roofers are coming on Monday.  Mario and Maria have an appointment for a day of play at Camp Pet Vet that day.  I'll have to hang around here while the roofers are here, but they would drive my canines crazy!  I'm sure they will enjoy themselves and will be tuckered out by the time I pick them up.

So, there you have it, for now anyway.
