Ready for a New Year!

2012 was a great year, despite my fears of the impending Doomsday.

Becoming a Grandma for the first time has been an awesome awakening of a part of my heart I didn't know was there.  I got to travel far away twice, to see my new granddaughter, and once I came home, began two new careers at about the same time.

Are you going to do anything differently for the '13?  Here are just a few of my thoughts on this subject...

I will become my old, organized self.  My desk is a sight, and my sewing room, well, I know where everything is, but it sure isn't a happy place right now.

I will not allow what "they" say to cloud my ideas of right and wrong.  I will continue to treat others as I would like to be treated.  I will continue to be as honest as I possibly can be, taking into account how others can handle honesty...

I will not allow anyone to make me feel badly about myself.  I will not allow the lies of others affect me, especially when I know the truth.  Those that choose to believe the lies, not my job to convince them of anything...because in their hearts, they know the truth, too.

I will continue to do the best I can, to be the best me I can possibly be.

I will not shower unsolicited advice on anyone, as it is not my job to "fix" every one's problems.  I will offer my opinion, if asked, what's done with it is their choice.

I will do my best to help my Young Son grow into the young man he should be.

I will continue to create my Critters, and since I plan to teach my daughter to sew this year, I foresee some additions to our Etsy shops...which will be very exciting!  I am thrilled to have her and my granddaughter (and their 2 dogs and 1 cat) come stay with us for the year while my son-in-law is out of the country for our country.

I will continue saying my Prayers, and will practice "listening" for the answers.  I will continue to count my blessings and actually be thankful for what I do have...if there's something I want, I will work for it.

Most importantly, I will continue to be happy, I will continue to live my life as I see fit, in the most positive way possible.  Revenge is not in my vocabulary, I am a total believer in Karma, I know we get what we give in this life.  I'm not going to be happy "if" or "when"...I am going to happy right now.
